66 GT350H Custom

Have had this for awhile. Messed it up on the first go around. Don't have decals anymore, so i've decided to go custom.
Stripped the chrome for the first time, messed that up too. Used the AK Interactive Extreme Metal chrome, but put it over flat black instead of gloss. So I've been trying to fix that. Batting 10/10 here.      

There's scratches on the hood that I did not see before or after primer. I only saw them when I started to wet sand the base color. But it wasn't enough to take them out. 

Createx Charcoal Metallic Gray over black in three coats. Five coats of Createx ULV Clear followed by Meguiars Scratch X and Meguiars Wax. Pics seems like it's orange peeled but it's not. Looks better in person. Still deciding whether or not to go black/gray or black/tan interior.

You could always drop her in the purple bath if you are not happy with it. I also recently watched a video on Isopropyl alcohol to remove paint.

I have a Chevelle painted in a similar color and to be honest, it photographs better indoors than out. The outside light really makes all the flake POP, but on camera that tends to hurt the pic, while in person it looks quite good. This should be cool, Ill be watching.

Got most of the interior done. Traded off the option of a sky gray for white for the highlights. Base black is Tamiya flat black over a flat black primer. White is the Vallejo white. Wood grain color is mixture of Vallejo paints and the chrome trim is Testors metallic silver. All of this covered by 3 thin coats of Vallejo satin clear. Still doesn't have that sheen to it to mimic leather or vinyl. 

Not my best interior job, but i'll be damned if i can't keep my hands from shaking so much.

Well I think it looks really great. A very nice looking interior all the way around.

I think the black grey will look good with the body on it. Just feels like it’ll reflect that paint well.
