Paul, Egads, you're blowing through this build like it's a plastic model. I'm actually having trouble keeping up with your massive updates.
The engine install to the rest of the body, front suspension & brakes, and then their expert matting to the main body as usual are expertly done. I never see a misalignment, glue stain, or anything that would tip the viewer off that this isn't a restoration of one of the few remaining Eagle F1 cars.

Some very good progress going on with this build Paul and that powertrain looks good sitting in that frame. Braking components are looking quite the part as well. Masterful work so far.

Great progress! What is your process for cleaning up the metal parts? I've got a white metal gatling gun that needs a lot of clean up. And I'd like to get the process down before investing in one of these MFH beauties. Thanks John. Chris has beat me to it. But I might add that I also use a brass brush to clean the surface. I have also used #000 and #0000 steel wool. Then files and sanding sticks just like plastic. Quick work and just as nice as ever. This is looking truly wonderful. Thanks Kyle. But I probably spend just as many hours at the bench as you do. It's just that this is my 9-5 job. LOL Just ripping right through this, looking good my friend ๐ Thanks Chris. Thats it, I quit. It was nice knowing y'all J/K, but seriously. WOW. Those wheels are a sight to see for sure. Thanks James. Oh Gawd, not another Eagle. Yep another Eagle. The shop has been busy. You're too kind. I wouldn't say I'm blowing through it. I've just been motivated to finish it and have been putting in a lot of hours at the bench. Like I told Kyle, it's my 9 to 5 job. Some very good progress going on with this build Paul and that powertrain looks good sitting in that frame. Braking components are looking quite the part as well. Masterful work so far. Thank you Joe Cockpit is done. Then I spent a bit of time getting the front brakes plumbed. Next up was the radiator and hoses. First was getting the pipes ready. Then trying to assemble all of the parts and keeping them in alignment. 318

Sorry, we're not taking applications right now. Me too. Paulโs 9-5 seems much superior to my own. ๐๐. Beautiful progress too Paul. Sheโs looking great. Thanks Kyle. What outstanding looking detail! Thank you Brent While getting the pieces of the rear suspension sorted out, I managed to break the rear sway bar link. I'm not showing you this because of the break, but to show you a very useful tool. It's a dead center drill starter sold by our very own Art Laski through Scaleproshop.com. I've got a back-up still in the package because my first one is still going strong after several years of use on white metal. After the repair, I got the rear suspension installed. Since all of the suspension was on, I decided to mount the wheels to make sure all four were touching at the same time. Plus I was able to check the height of the stand-offs that go under the car to support the weight. All was good. The decaling process has begun. 391

Paul, I'm totally in awe reading through your update that covers a ton of work and progress. One thing I noticed while looking at your completed cockpit pictures is the seat cushion. My word does that really look just like the real deal. For one, those snaps that hold it to the sides look perfect. And for some reason the shading in the creases of the seat padding added that last extra touch so that one really has a tough time figuring out real from model.
The radiator plumbing is just beyond. the hose straps must have been a real pain to install, but boy do they make a huge difference. And the brake plumbing front and rear really adds some super detail.
looking forward to following you decaling as well. Could you go through your decaling process as there's Micro Set, Tamiya Markfit, and Walthers Solvaset. I'm assuming that you're using the Markfit as a substitute for Micro Sol.

Looks wonderful on all 4 wheels! Great fix and tip with the centering drill bit Thanks Brent Paul, I'm totally in awe reading through your update that covers a ton of work and progress. And yes, those hose clamps are a pain. I used to heat them with a mini-torch, but that discolored them. So they didn't look right. Then Chris told me that he just manhandles them, so that's what I do now. As for my decal process, first is to get my water hot with the coffee cub warmer. Then I brush on some Micro Set. When the decal is ready, I put it (with backing paper) on a napkin to wick away excess water. Then I place the decal on the model. Once I have the decal where I want it, I roll it with a Q-tip, while making sure it doesn't shift out of place. If needed, I use Solvaset to form the decal to the part. I haven't used Markfit much yet because I've always used Solvaset and prefer it. But if a decal doesn't seem to be reacting to the Solvaset, then I'll try the Markfit. It seems manufacturers decals react differently to either softening solution. Windscreen progression. There is not a lot of extra rivets so I'll have to be very careful not to ping any off of my tweezers. 425

Paul, Thanks for your decaling procedures. The only difference from how I decal is that I go with warm water directly on the model, then the decal, Micro Set, and then Solvaset. I just find if I use the Set under the decal as they recommend, the decal sticks and is hard to position and or move around. The water lets me move it easily, then roll it and it sticks due to the very warm water. Then Set and let it do it's thing till it starts to dry, then the Q tip, and finally Solvaset to settle the decal into every nook & cranny.
