Paul, This is insane. If you didn't have your cutting mat under the car in the last 3 pictures, and photo shopped the background, I'd being willing to bet that especially the 1st of the 3 pics is of the real car.

Really incredible work, as usual. Looks like the puzzle didn’t give you any trouble at all. That’s beautiful.

I anticipated the pipes being much harder to assemble than they actually were. The last thing to do was to make the top engine screen. Once that was done the car is finished. 768

It is a thing of beauty. How many of these have you built?

Wow what a beauty. I did a mesh screen on my RA272 - not even sure where I got the pliable mesh from but looked just like yours.

Paul your builds are always top notch and this is no exception! It turned out drop dead gorgeous. If I didn't know better I would swear the finished pictures you posted were right out of a MotorTrend magazine.

It is a thing of beauty. How many of these have you built? Thanks Paul. I'm guessing you mean MFH builds? Then this is the 8th completion, with about twice that many in various stages of build. Wow what a beauty. I did a mesh screen on my RA272 - not even sure where I got the pliable mesh from but looked just like yours. Thanks John. MFH provided a pre-formed screen for this build. But in some kits they just provide a flat screen and a white metal form to make the screen. Another gorgeous completion. Beautiful work Paul. And a beautiful collection you’ve added to our group build. I love this. Thank you Kyle. Paul your builds are always top notch and this is no exception! It turned out drop dead gorgeous. If I didn't know better I would swear the finished pictures you posted were right out of a MotorTrend magazine. Thank you very much Brent.

Chris, Just another super build of a true Iconic car. It's been a true pleasure to follow your build to it crossing the finish line.

Well my friend what can I say, this is a masterful build ... period.
It looks incredibly clean and I have to say that I would never build a car from this era because my love for F1 began in the 80's but I have to say that the amount of outside detail that is present in these early years allows for a ton of eye candy as a model and this particular car has so much that has to be done right or it can get messy quickly, and you have literally created a model that I could mistake for the real car in the right setting and that is the highest compliment I can pay you as a builder - bravo!

Adrian, My love affair with F1 started way, way back in 1963. I actually saw the 1967 AAR Eagle and Gurney at the 1967 F1 GP at Watkins Glen. Every car looked and sounded so different back then. But for me the AAR Eagle stood out from the rest of the grid.

Great subject matter. Thank you Scott.

It's really hard to believe that we're looking at something in scale plastic here Paul. An outstanding example in every way of modeling at its absolute best. Beautiful car and well-deserved win in the contest brother.

Great progress! What is your process for cleaning up the metal parts? I've got a white metal gatling gun that needs a lot of clean up. And I'd like to get the process down before investing in one of these MFH beauties. If Paul doesn’t mind… I usually sand all the seams off, just like you would with a plastic kit. The big thing we use is a magnetic tumbler with polishing solution. The machine has stainless steel pins that do all the work. It’s a small investment, but it’s sure worth it if you’re going to do a few of these types of kits. Which brand do you use?
