Gang, Submissions are now being accepted for the model of the month competition for August 2024. The category is Automotive, which includes any NON-military vehicle with wheels or tracks. Dioramas featuring vehicles are allowed. Rules* Only builds completed in the last nine months will be eligible; for example, in April 2025, any aircraft completed since July 2024 would be eligible to enter. The benefit is that cycling every category on a six-month rotating basis gives people time to complete builds, and we get more entries for each category. * Only builds completed in the 9-month window since the last time the category was active will be allowed. *Since the timeframe between contests for a given category is longer, some of our more prolific builders will likely have multiple completions in the 6-month timeframe. Due to this, members can enter up to two models into the contest. * Models must have an associated build thread on the forum * No models completed in the past (beyond the 6-month window) will be allowed. Good luck boy and girls - I cant wait to see this months entries. There have been some OUTSTANDING automobile builds in the last 6 months posted here. This will be a tough decision assuming they are submitted haha.

Sporks and spoons, what the heck. I don't enter contests as I never feel like I have a prayer. I feel no different here now amongst the likes of you guys. I look up to you guys and what you do, don't sell your self short. You are far better at this than you think.

If you have a model that fits the allowable time frame you should enter, even if you think it wont win. I did! Best way to improve is to see your work sitting next to others that may be better than yours. Also, its jsut fun to participate! Were all friends here so win or loose, its cool just to be in the mix!

Will be watching as there are some amazing car builds. Me, the closest I came to building a car was when my daughter decided to try modelling few years ago so I helped her.

I've seen your work, and your builds are definitely worthy contest material. I'd enter mine but I build way to slow to enter anything so at least you've finished one of your beauties in the past 6 months. lol |
