Tamiya Mark Fit does not have near the holding power as Mr Cement Deluxe — damn fuselage halves would just not stick together! on the bright side, I did NOT find out how Mr cement worked on decals… ![]()  |

OOPS!
Because they are so stable I use the Tamiya Extra Thin bottles for everything. It is OK with brush cleaner and my tinted Future but I have to give the clear stuff a sniff to see if it is glue or pure Future. Since I bought a bunch of Thin that the labels had come off for cheap I have indeed attempted to glue parts with Future.

I remember something like that happening to me, too. I think it was Gunze mark softener and metal primer, both with red lids?

Ha ha, I know EXACTLY how you feel! I did the same thing! Oh snap! I felt so stupid because I kept trying to glue parts together and they kept falling apart.

I mixed up a can of Testors chrome spray paint with clear once. I got a really shiny sheet of decals.
Luckily they were DIY so just had to print another batch. I still haven't had a use for chrome decal film.
That particular case might be a good place for some red and green sharpies to get involved.

It was bound to happen sooner or later... Well if you HAD to destroy a decal at least it wasn't some irreplaceable one off and you stayed within the lines. |
