I've had this in the stash for awhile and finally decided to build it. The kit was way better than expected. It has some issues, but went together fairly well. The exception being the chassis to body fit.

Believe it or not it was an AMT kit, but I think they collaborated with Italeri on it.  It has markings of both I believe.  You see them on eBay from time to time.  They want to charge a lot for the kit though.  I got this one 6-10yrs ago for a descent price.  I think it's a kit from the 90's.  Though, I don't know kit history like most of you. 

I forgot to say in my review that the kit does have an engine, but no opening hood!  I really didn't have the parts to do it.  The kit had prop rods if you wanted to open it up and leave it though.  The decals were also, like most AMT decals, ones that disappear once applied.  that's why they seem a bit off in color.  The yellow just fades into the red.  Same with the lighter colors on the Ferrari badge up front.

Someone on another forum pointed out it's not a 250GTO, but a 250GTO SWB (cue my eye roll).

For an older AMT kit this built up great. Enzo would like this one! Fantastic finish on a nicely done Ferrari!

Gorgeous Ferrari! I think the kit started life as an ESCI product.
