I picked this kit up years ago as I like bi-planes and the prewar neutrality paint scheme for aircraft. It wasn't a bad little kit. Went together quite nicely and came out great. I probably could have done better, but it was a quick build just for my own collection. It's not 100% accurate, but I wanted to add a splash more color, so i painted the wheels. That turned out pretty dang good there Eric. Love the pre-war bright colors and you brought those out nicely on this one. Welcome back btw!

Thanks everyone. Model planes and helicopters was how I got my start. When I was little my dad had his old models hanging around and I wanted some of my own, so I started building at an early age. I never got good at painting camo patterns and I've had a lot of trouble with bi-planes in the past, but my last couple of planes have turned out nice. Probably, because I haven't work on a lot of planes lately and my skills have improved from car building. The car building didn't start til I got into HS and I've been working on improving my skills with modelling since. I've got quite a few models in both the car and plane stash, but the aircraft models have had to be sidelined due to lack of space until I can get my own home and more room for them. I've got a lot, but if I see something I think look cool I get and worry about the space for it later. Problem is I have a lot of obscure larger planes in the stash.

Man I do love those between the wars Yellow Wings aircraft. Is that the old Lindberg kit? I think it was. I already got rid of the box. I made it weeks ago, but never got a chance to post it. With everything going on and stormy weather every day off it took awhile just to get the pictures. I know the kit was old though. I think I've had it for at least 10yrs before building it. I got it from a local hobby shop in Myrtle for like $7 I think. Maybe even less. At the time they had really cheap kits. Their aircraft section was amazing and their car section was slightly better than a Hobby Lobby or Walmart (who was still selling kits) at the time. I feel bad that most of my purchases now are from eBay or Hobby Lobby. I'd like to buy local, but they are deep in Myrtle an it's a 45min drive. Plus their car selection is not that great anymore. The aircraft section is still great though. If you ever find yourself in Myrtle, the place is called Ed's. It's off Main St. and 17. Right near where the Pavillion used to be and where the new boardwalk is.
