Sure hope that you guys get your Spot pre-orders. I had pre-ordered the Nunu Porsche 911 RSR. The est. due date came and went on Oct.25, and now it's listed as Estimated shipping date: to be determined. I emailed Spot customer service and they have no idea as to when the kits would be in at this point, so I requested a full refund via Pay Pal and got it the same day. I would have kept my pre-order but without a realistic delivery date, I pre-paid for literally nothing. The kit is available from a few sources in Japan, and Ben has already built his. So why the delay? joel I never buy kits from Spot, their shipping charges for anything bigger than a matchbox are outrageous. Like $100.00 shipping when the Japanese will ship to me for $20.00, or even "free" sometimes. And quite often the kit price is less too, which of course might be a function of the exchange rates.
As for "pre-paying", if you don't have it, I don't buy it, lol.

Sometimes these manufacturers will supply to one supplier exclusively for a couple of months on the promise of a larger order , its wrong but the guy who has them to himself then has the ability to charge more with no competition. I never pre order now, i just set an email alert when they come in.

I haven't ordered a thing from Spot due to their outrageous shipping charges for well over a year, but they were the only company I've dealt with that even carries Nunu kits these days. Both ScaleHobbyist and Sprue Brothers certainly don't, and their inventory of kits almost never changes other then for back orders. I have no idea of how they manage to stay in business.

John, Just checked the site and they don't list the Nunu Porsche kit. Only pre-order is the Tamiya Porsche 911 kit.
Thanks for the link, it's greatly appreciated.

I've had great service from upscale hobbies in the past. If you ping them Chris is pretty responsive.
