Operation Overlord Maintenance Diorama

I am proud to show off my completed Operation Overlord Maintenance Diorama. From start to finish, this entire project was completed in roughly 40 days.

This diaroma is a mirror image of the Luftwaffe diorama I finished a little over a month ago. I tried to emphasize a more organized and functional scene with this build when compared to the Luftwaffe one since this would be later in the war.

I used the following kits and accessories to build the diorama:

Keith this is just outstanding! So glad I got to follow it coming together. The use of the backdrop is a wonderful addition to your arsenal. You didn't miss a beat with this diorama! You should be proud to show this one off for sure! The weathering, detail and base you created compliment each other perfectly!

Appreciate that. I think the hills add nice depth to the scene. IMO better than just a flat field

I am glad you followed along during the whole build. I do want to apologize for not updating the WIP as often as I should. Especially there at the end for the dio build. I just wanted to get it done and didn't take alot of photos. I did however stream painting the diorama base to a few people from the same group build which was pretty fun.

They turned out great. Feel sorry for the other P-51 that didn't make the cut, but it was the right call.
Great action in the scene... but I'm uncomfortable with those krauts wrenching on our planes 😂

If I had done 36” instead of 24, I could have fit it. 

lol, I don’t know why there is not readily available American mechanics… It was a pain cutting the hats off all of those German ones.  Obviously, they still have German characteristics which I couldn’t easily remove.

This is stupefyingly excellent work. I’m speechless. Beautiful scene here. Incredible work on all 3 planes, even the spare and incredible work on the diorama. Following along is always a pleasure and you’ve hit another out of the park.

My initial thoughts when I first looked at this dio was how balanced the whole thing was. Everything seems to be in just the right place and not overcrowded or looking too busy which to me is essential in bringing out the most in a setting like this without the viewer being overwhelmed. 
 Once I got over that I was able to see just how much detail was put into each model build as well as the supporting pieces like the Jeep and the figures. That backdrop is perfect for this and helps bring the whole scene to life. Brilliant work across the board on this Keith. You've done it once again good buddy.
