Tanks and AFVs are cool but the backbone of any mechanized Army are the transports. What is more impressive? A 60ton MBT or the vehicle that drags it out of the mud and hauls it back to depot?

Excited to watch this brute come together Terry.  I was taking supplies to some infantry that had been on exercise in the field for two weeks when some really bright 2nd lieutenant said "Oh the base slackers are here to see what the REAL army does". I didn't say a word and got back into my truck and drove away with the hay boxes filled their nice fresh hot rations in them that I had busted my butt to get to them. Came back two hours later and dropped off the congealed mess they had become. Since they had been living on IRPs up until then he was not too popular with his platoon. |
