I got this a few months ago and finally got around to building it. I was pretty excited to see it when it was announced. I never thought I'd see a kit of a Canadian vehicle, let alone a Canadian Mercury truck! The kit itself isn't too bad. My only problem being the installation of the clear pieces. Which they tell you to do from the inside. The windshield needs to be placed in from the front. The fit to the frame is also a little hard to get right. Installation of the lettering for the decals kinda sucks too. Each letter is its own decal. Not fun to put on and I lost the M for the hood. Which is quite small. Over all though, it is a very nice kit and a welcome addition to my collection. Very cool. These used to outnumber the Fords around here back in the day.

Wonderfully done! Once upon a time I hand a early 80's F100 with a straight 6 that was almost identical colors.

I've gotta say, I was a bit thrown off when I first saw the M E R C U R Y lettering on the hood Eric. This one turned out great buddy and you've chosen some good colors to use on it.
This is the Moebius kit ....right?

This is the Moebius kit ....right? Yet another vehicle I owned briefly in the early '70s. I picked up a '62 Merc truck for the price of "Just get it out of here", freed up the engine and got it moving then flipped it 2 weeks later for $750. No pictures of it but it was exactly the same as this one right down to condition and colour. Now I know the kit exists it will have to go onto my build list even if off a couple of years. The black '64 Econoline I owned (and modeled) was also actually a Mercury EM-100 not a Ford. I believe that most of the Econolines sold in Canada up to 1968 were actually Mercs. The only real difference was the badging.

A little info some of you may not know - Canadian Pontiacs in the 60's usually had Chevy engines in them.
Nice truck, by the way, I love the colour scheme.

OH OH OH like A late 50s Meteor Niagara An early 60s Pontiac Laurentian Or a sweet little mid 60s Acadian I'd love a Meteor, Beaumont, or Acadian model. The AMT 56 Fairlane has a Meteor grill in the kit (wrong side trim though), but that's the closest model to a Canadian car I've seen. They make a diecast 1:43 Beaumont in silver, but I'd like a larger scale and better color. DDA is, however, making some great Australian car kits. They come in a really nice collector box, and contain some really nice stuff. I'm working on the new Corvette right now, but I hope to get to my Holden Torana model soon. Only problem I have with the kits is that there are no plated parts with the DDA kits. So, I had to go out and buy some chrome paint. Other than that the kit looks very well made. I hope they come out with a Falcon XB, Monaro, or Valiant Charger soon. Rumor has it, that the Charger might be their next kit. Only down side to the kits is the price. They're charging a premium for them. I treated myself to mine as a birthday present to myself. The Falcon 4-door kit will be my Christmas present to myself.

^^^ That's a chevy II! 😋 Badass looking too Nope it is an Acadian Beaumont which was the top trim of the brand. Acadian was the actual brand name they used instead of Chevy. Yes it was a Chevy II base but the trim, interior and options were very different. They ran with the Acadian brand for several years. Unfortunately since it was Canada exclusive there were not a pile made (Canadian car sales run about 10% of that in the US) and those that were pretty much all rotted away to nothing in a few short years so to find one today is almost impossible. Wiki has a pretty decent write up on them en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acadian_(automobile)OH OH OH like Or a sweet little mid 60s Acadian Now THAT is frickin' COOL right there!! Beautiful car!! I wonder if anyone cuts a grille like that in 3D or resin? Never seen model parts but they could exist. A 64 Acadian Canso base model 2 door sedan was almost my first real car but they wanted too much for the condition it was in (like $600) so I passed and got the Impala SS instead. Looked like this (even the same colour) but far more beat up.
