So, I've been thinking quite a bit about which kit I wanna build for this GB. I have an Eduard P-51D and Airfix P-51D in my stash. But after much consideration, I think I'm going to go with the new Eduard P-51B Dorsal Fin 1/48. The main reason I am going to do this over the other kits I have in my stash, is because the kit includes markings for Bonnie B. My wife's name is Bonnie, so I thought this would be fun to do. Alright! Excited to have you on board Keith.

Nice one, I looked at this kit last week at the modelshop, looked very nice with a lot of details. Looking forward to seeing this one build

OH MAN, my second favorite WWII airplane to build and my favorite overall warbird! I'M IN! I have a ton of kits to choose from, but I will most likely use an Eduard kit, and possibly a B. Will let you know for sure once I get my gear back and my building area set back up, but that should be in time to start this one in January. Thanks for the GB! <Matt It'll be great to have you back again Matt.

There has been a new development. Today at the Leavenworth Kansas Prison City Modelers show I picked up a 1/32 scale Tamiya P-51D for less than the market price. To my surprise look what was inside. Now I a new choice for this build. What do you think I should now. Now that's a score and then some!!

Ok, Apparently, after doing a little stash organization, I realized I must have an affinity for the Monogram 1/48 P-51D. So, I guess I'll have to try and build up one of these as well. You could supply the whole forum with Revell/Monogram 'Stangs! Could be the most specific GB ever. Now that's an outstanding idea!!😆

James ( project510) Count me in for this.....my Typhoon should be done on or just before Christmas and so the timing works nicely. All I have to do is decide which of the kits and AM parts from the below selection I will be using. As you can see, it's not an easy choice...... ATB Andrew -------------------------------------------------- There's the bottom one of this pair.....or this..... this is of course an option.....as is this....
and then there are these combined..... and then there's the middle one of these three to possibly complement either of the above two.......and last but not least.....this.....

That one would be too sad to replicate, unless you can confirm a positive outcome for the pilot.

That one would be too sad to replicate, unless you can confirm a positive outcome for the pilot. I checked before picking it. Lieut Ralph L Hubley survived this forced landing when he ran out of fuel at Honington 25th Nov 1944. So this one (44-14279) is safe. This aircraft was likely repaired and returned to service although I could not find a final disposition for it. He was KIA December 27 over Frankfurt when his plane (44-14528) was damaged and his chute failed to open.

So a sad outcome, as for so many. But we can at least feel better about this accident.
