CB's 1/72 Airfix F4F-4 Wildcat Build

Might as well get this started. Plan on building this in the next 12 months or so. 
So the first step is something I have never felt the need to do before -- wash all the parts trees.
I keep hearing that you don't have to be worried about mold release agents with modern kits.
Well, I can assure you that those who subscribe to that argument have not seen the Airfix F4F!
Visible mold release in numerous places.  So now, it's all washed and clean and ready to go when the time comes.

I think I wash my kits mostly out of habit these days. My opportunity to look through the sprues very well if nothing else. Looking forward to seeing this!

Yup, I always wash my kits to get rid of any contaminates that could affect the build (glue) and the primer and paint . Better safe than sorry.
That's gonna be a nice build .

An excellent choice for a build Chris - I'll be looking forward to seeing this. I have two in the stash and strangely, have been thinking about building them recently too - I'll be taking notes!
