OD no 7, what base color should I use?

G'day folks, 

I am busy with a 1:10 bust of an US infantry man in Normandy 1944, and want the webbing to be Olive Drab no 7 (no 9 was not implemented at the time, if I understood correctly?). 
I am painting with acrylics, and are looking for a suitable base color (brand/name) to use. Any suggestions here? 
The face has been done:

Although there is an "official" colour named OF#7 the reality of things was that it could vary in actual tone significantly in practice. I would say that any OD that leans towards the brown more than the green would get you there.

Do you have a preferred brand of paint?

No, I use AK, MiG and Vallejo just the same. Colours dictate the brand, not the other way around..

Well I personally would use the MIG dark olive drab then. The Modelmaster acrylic OD is actually probably the closest thing but of course it is not made anymore.
