Saw the DDA kits starting to pop up on eBay and decided to finally get one. I paid a fairly good amount for it too. They aren't cheap kits. They are pretty nice though. You get a very nice hinged collector's box, tools, decals, and screws for the kit. It's a pretty simple to build model. Most of it is like a snap-tite kit. My only problems were the lack of a full engine, no plated parts for the grill/bumpers, and a rubber distributor w/spark-plug wires (which I left off because it was a nightmare to try to get put in place). It's the first kit I got a can of spray chrome to try to do the bumpers and grill. Not the same as the plated parts, but it looks alright. Over all, I'd say the DDA kits are pretty good and I want to get the 4-door Falcon kit for Christmas if I have the money. My hope is that the continue their line of Aussie cars and make a Charger, Monaro, or 2-0door Falcon next. Being in the states I've never heard of this car. Nice work on a special subject. For chrome there's a couple options. Bare metal foil, which I've always struggled with and there's Alclad II paints. I've gotten some really good shines with those products. This is their Airframe aluminum (ALC 119) over gloss black on this tiny little DC-3

I binge shows, books, and search the internet. Came across this last year. A lot of good information of these and other Aussie cars. club.shannons.com.au/club/news/classic-garage/1969-holden-lc-torana-6gtr-holdens-finest-1960s-moment/

I’ve seen a few of these built up now and they look pretty nice!! I’d like to get one or two as the subjects are unique. Awesome work on yours! I love the colors and your under the hood work. Well done.

Nice work on the Torana, these DDA kits are becoming popular here in Oz due to the subjects. You've done a cool job of this one Eric, I'm also waiting for further releases from DDA, especially anything Mopar, I only had this conversation with a good friend yesterday about it, as he's building the LC Torana kit too. I would guess the Chrysler Charger, either the HQ Holden Monaro or the HK Monaro, (which was the first Monaro and coupe in the Holden fleet) and the XB Falcon coupe ... my guesses anyway. Nice work mate.
