Recommendations for B-36 and B-52

Good Day Folks!

I am inquiring about some Recommendations for a B-36, and a B-52 aircraft model. I am wanting to build this, for a tribute to my pops. He flew in both of these aircrafts in the Korean war. He has been a major influence on my life, and has always been there for me growing up. I would like to build both of these aircrafts, for him. Both my mom and dad, gave me a wonderful childhood, and I know know my mom would also get enjoyment out of this tribute.

Steve...as Dave M said,these kits now are few and far between.I have seen a B52B on Sprue bros site,if that is any help.And I'm sure I've seen kits of the Peacemaker,in my travels round the shows over here this year.If I see one,do you want me to pick it up?
I can't say they are recommendations....just all that is out there bud!!

Sure, that would be nice, I have not had any luck finding anything locally. I will be working on a few planes to work on my skills.

Hey there wigwag, I was just checking ebay when I remembered you where looking for some big bombers. I did find some on there, the B-52 are fairly priced, both auction and buy it now. and there are early and late versions listed. As for the B-36, some of the people are out of there minds others are pretty fair. These are also Monogram 1/72. HTH! ;D

Hi Steve,as I promised,I looked for and secured 1xB36 Peacemaker at a show we went to today!! ;D,and considering the rarity of this kit I thought 30GBP,was a fair price.The box is a bit knocked about,but a quick squint inside assured me all was well ;D

Very cool, this has been a great week! that's an awesome price! I will send you a PM shortly. My pops is going to be surprised, I will be sure to do a build log, will also be doing video, so he can see the process.

One thing I always check is fuselage fit...

and the detail isn't bad for a 1980 Monogram,either....

Most probably won't get it in the post until the weekend....gotta find enough cardboard to wrap her in!!!

Thanks Chris :-) She's a beauty, just has I remember her, as when I was a kid watching my pops building it. I have a huge smile on my face right now, flashing back to some wonderful memories.
