After some time, I found all I needed to finish this one model. It's the ancient Aurora kit of the 1/72 scale DC-9 in Hughes Airwest markings: The yellow was a spray bomb of gloss, and the wings were a metallic silver paint from a spray bomb as well. Thank you all for looking in, comments are welcome.

Mark, I love it!
Did Aurora make a 727 in 1/72 as well?

Thank you Carlos! I don't know if Aurora made a 727 in 1/72 scale, but another company did. I have that one to try and start soon: Thank you Handi! I was very happily surprised that the yellow spray can laid down such a smooth and shiny coat.

I really like what you did with this small scale build here and I like the fact that you pulled that yellow paint job off as well as you did. Just beautiful.

Thank you Joe! I'm pleased with the yellow paint as well. It's so hard to do, yet this one came put well. I'm very happy!
Thank you Kyle! I started a second DC-9 already again. This one will be a TWA bird with my Connie.

Thank you Tony! I've always wanted to do airliners, but I didn't want to drop a scale to do it. I held out until a few companies released 1/72 scale airliners and those are the ones I'm building. Of course that still limits me, but I am happy with the selection I have now.

Thank you Dodgy! I'm still thrilled with how it looks.
Thank you Ben! It is a different livery for me, that's why I had to do it.
