Late Halloween figure: 1/6th Sadako Yamamura from 'Ringu'

Ok, let's see if we can get this to work. My first model I've tried to post here....

A little late for Halloween but what the hey, Sadako Yamamura from the Japanese horror film 'Ringu' or 'The Ring':







Sadako-san started a trend in J-horror of creepy Japanese ghost gals with their hair in their faces. I built the figure a year ago for a FSM figure group build. She's I'd guess about 1/6th or so. 

And yeah she climbs out of a guy's TV at the end of the movie. Sorry guess I ruined the ending!!! 



Real G had the brilliant idea of rigging up some flickering LEDS to give the TV a glow to it. I used three of them. I impressed even myself here, I wish I could post a video, the effect really came out looking good! 

 

Here's the figure unpainted. It's 3D printed out of China, no idea the company. A search on Ebay for Sadako figure should turn it up though.

Oh wow!!! This is so cool. One of my favorite movies. The thing I love about Japanese horror movies is they don't have a conclusive satisfying ending. In the end... she's just evil. Great story.
And a bit of an observation - at least with movies that have made it to the western world, it seams the Japanese are afraid of children and water.
