I have a bunch of testors lacquer paints with about a 1/4 can left. Not enough to spray from the can. Of the two choices above, what would be better to decant and thin the paint for an AB?
I don't want to waste the paint and toss it. And I have a Boss Mustang waiting in the wings.

Since it sounds like these paints are intended for a glossy car finish I’d suggest that you go with the Mr Leveling Thinner, as that does not dry as quickly as standard lacquer thinner.

That paint once decanted will be thin enough to put through your airbrush without having to thin it out any more... If you feel you must reduce it ...Yes, use the Mr color stuff...

Mr Color Leveling thinner whenever possible. Lacquer thinner is more aggressive and can attack the plastic at times. I use it sparingly.

I’ve found adding ~20-25% Mr Leveling Thinner to decanted Tamiya paint really improves the flow. I would think it would do the same for Testors rattle cans. Mr Leveling Surfacer is my universal thinner. It works well with any lacquer.

(I even heard you can thin Future with the stuff!)
