Well folks.......THAT was a contest and we had a little bit of everything in there this month: A luxury cabin cruiser, an Imperial seaplane cruiser, an aircraft carrier, two aircraft carriers and this Cutty Sark from Chris ( themongoose) that is show here in this thread. These old ships like this pack a "Wallop" in terms of detail and are no easy feat to build. All who participated in the contest submitted some very fine entries but only one can be the winner. Congratulations goes to Chris for the win with his Academy 1/150 scale Cutty Sark. A beautiful ship indeed with loads of detail and an impeccable finish. Just a great build all the way around. Without the participants, voters or our Administrator, Brian aka chromdome35 there would be no contest so a BIG word of thanks goes out to you all for helping to make contests like this possible. Congrats Chris! A well deserved win. The mast work alone blew me away and brought me along for the ride. Fantastic build of one of the beautiful tall ships

Many many thanks guys! This truly was a ton of fun to build. Mostly because in building it out of the box I could focus on learning to tie some knots and get the basics down for rigging without worrying about tons of add on detail.
