I dragged this stalled WIP off of the back burner in an attempt to re-energize my building mojo. Here is the state of the build so far. The front and back halves are just slid together for a photo op. And this is where the bodywork is at. I used Tamiya TS-26 pure white and TS-9 British Green.

I'm on board for this one! Terrific start so far! Strange having fish eyed paint after the prep work you did on the pieces.

That is a seriously cab forward design! Yep. Drivers feet are definitely in front of the center line of the front axle. I'm on board for this one! Terrific start so far! Strange having fish eyed paint after the prep work you did on the pieces. Thanks Brent. I think the reason might be is that I don't scrub the parts in a Poli-dent bath.(I probably should) I just throw them in for a couple of hours. Every once in awhile I might stir them up. Here's my in-progress pics of the engine. Something interesting to note, which was brought up on another forum, is the Cosworth badging on the valve covers instead of Ford. The story is Williams was getting major sponsorship from Saudi at this time. The Saudi government had barred Ford from the country as part of the Israel boycott which started in 1972 and didn't end until 1987. So the team appeared with either a blank valve cover or a Cosworth badged cover. At this time the Williams team was considered the "factory" team. So it has been said that they were the only team to have the Cosworth lettering. Wheels.... and then tires. I only had 3 of the bolts fly off to oblivion. Fortunately there were plenty to spare. The beginnings of the transaxle and suspension. 65

The contents of that box initially look overwhelming to me. Such great detail right there in the box!! I'll bet you don't need to buy a single thing in the aftermarket for one of those kits do you Paul?

I'll bet you don't need to buy a single thing in the aftermarket for one of those kits do you Paul? Thanks Joe. No, MFH kits really don't need anything added to them. But I've seen plenty of builds where stuff was added. Adding details to the monoque Calipers and rotors. And since they got done, they were added to the rear suspension. More cockpit detail Rear suspension lower control arms added. And front suspension progress. 112

You make building this degree of detail look easy when I know it really isn't. I may have to start using AI to find new ways to describe how fantastic this is looking.

My goodness Paul!! What incredible work, my friend. The chassis looks astonishingly good especially with the engine snug in the back. Always love the brakes on these kits and yours look wonderful. This is too good.
