68 Dart

I got one of these kits a long time ago when it first came out, but screwed up on the rear end. I always thought I could have done better now that I know what I'm doing. So when I found this kit at a good price the other day; I decided to get a new one. The old car was black. So, I decided to do a darker green car. I already have a lot of red cars and I wanted a dark color to show off the stripes and emblems. So I mixed a lot of gloss black in with some standard Testor's green. I also went with a different look for the grill this time around. The result was everything I was hoping for. The car looks amazing!

These old Darts like this grab my attention every time and that green does indeed set that car off Eric. Nice work man.

Very cool. Is that the Revell 2-in-1 boxing? I did the box-art drag version some time ago - super fun kit.
AND I've always wanted one of these in 1:1.

Yeah, it's the drag car one.  Scored it for a pretty cheap price.  Trying to get my hands on a few kits I either never got the first time around or didn't do a great job on the first time around.

The green one looks great Eric! The black one looks exactly like the one I bought back in 1982, faded black, white stripes for a hundred bucks.

Nice work on that Dart! 👍  That green color is very striking, and I agree that your grill really does look great. 👏 I think the '68-'70 were the best-looking Darts of all and boy howdy, how I wanted one back then!?!?    I was lusting for a 340 Swinger but let that dream slip through my fingers in the Spring of 1971!   A long, sad tale...😟

Nice work, Lucas! I have this kit, and I should build it soon. FIrst car I ever drove was my moms 69 Dart. Brown/Brown with black vynil top. Wish she could have held onto it for me haha.
