Good Day Folks! I went to the local thrift store, and found this compressor for $5 USD. I am looking for information on it, I see a little hole on the top, is this to add oil? or is this compressor oil less? Did I get a good deal? As always, thanks in advance for advice, -Steven

It works well, have not gave it the stress test yet. Worried, that hole on top is for oil, but not sure. Are these compressors usually oil less?

Steve,I've seen similar compressors to this in the past, and it appears to be a single pressure unit, that doesn't normally come with a regulator etc... When you're not spraying with the AB,it goes into an idle mode,or actually switches off,If I remember correctly.I had one similar,a while back, and it did seem to give a smooth air delivery.I would suggest,if you can stretch to it,get a water trap at least! You can get them to go in the airline itself. Is there any sort of specification plate,or model plate fitted to it?..I can't see one in the piccies

There is not a specification plate, or model number. I do plan on getting a moister trap, as I also need a new air hose.
