Just for Spud who’s building Bronco’s MkI Humber Scout Car modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=armor&action=display&thread=1796
MiniArt’s figure set# 35078 British Tank Crew consists of 56 parts over two sprues depicting five figures. They are wearing the 1944 pattern summer denim tank suit, one with a leather jerkin over the top. Three are wearing berets two RAC helmets, and two kinds of holsters are provided; the open topped RAC pistol case and the closed top ’37 pistol case.
The fit is pretty good I made up figure C but replaced the head with one from Hornet, although the heads are fairly good anyway. The Hornet heads really upgrade the already very good figure IMHO. As with most of MiniArt’s figures clean up takes a little longer with a little flash and often fairly bold seam lines. The poses are very useful though.
Just one note on the long strap RAC holsters these were declared obsolete from Jan 1943 and from this date the holsters were adapted to be worn on the belt (Mk1 adapted) or just below (Mk2). However some were still seen with the long suspension strap after this date and they do look cool.
Paints are recommended for six manufacturers.
