Hi everyone! It's been awhile since my last post. I wanted to share what I have been up to recently; building the Tamiya 1/48 He219 Uhu. The night camo doesn't interest me much; so I decided to do a He219 with a green camo similar to what Mr Ian Robertson has done on MIM Magazine but since this is a whatif project, will add some of my own interpretation. He219 Uhu by Gambit, on Flickr Trying to finish this for a local meet; will update again soon I hope! Cheers! Peter

Very nice 219' the colour looks great, in fact some of these were painted with a green mottle. At that time in the war the mechs used what was to hand.

Peter that is one pretty bird love the paint job on it. one question when you were building it did you have any fit problems with the engines nacelles fitting to the wings. But anyways great work on it so far cant wait to see more.

Hi Phil, for my kit, the alignment of the engine nacelle to the wing is not ideal; there was a 0.5mm 'step' which I couldn't avoid (even after a lot of dry fitting) and just had to bite the bullet; glue it on, putty and sand it down eventually.
But luckily there are no panel lines to re-scribe so it wasn't a show-stopper for me.

Thanks you sirs for the for the encouragement. I did the pin wash but wasn't satisfied with the result (too faint). So I have to re-do it this weekend and will update everyone here. Take care!
