ChrisB, More than penciled in. A lot of figure people there as I understand it, so I hope to pick up some guidance - and yes to some figures for the table. How many would you like? have 30 to 40 to choose from Tim

Good evening, No painting progress with this. Decided to work on the assembly mainly, in the hope that all sub units will come together neatly at the end. So, pre wash and undercoat, this is how things are at present. Paint soon Tim

Good evening, Been a while since this was started and other things seem to have got in the way in the meantime. However, back on to it now and a quick update of how things stand at present. Still a long way to go, but looking to finish this one as soon as able. Tim

Good evening, Been working on the eyes and flesh work in general. Reasonably happy with the eyes, still loads to do on the flesh. Need to push the contrast a little harder I think. So a quick pic update - As ever comments welcome. Tim

Chris, In truth I think... no, I know it's the picture! This one is in pure daylight - well through a window so slightly filtered. I think you can see that he has been in the sun a little more than the other pic suggests. Still think it is in need of more work, but will go slowly. Can't bear to think of a scrub & re-paint at this point. Leon, Thanks, glad you like. Tim

Boo,
Sorry, missed your post. Must have arrived whilst putting the above together.
I think the problem was pretty much as you have hinted. However, I am sure that my habit of using a well known item to speed up drying may well have been a contributing factor. Heat and resin!
Tim
No, not a microwave - hairdryer!!!

Good morning, Been working on the face and think I have gone as far as I want to go. No point going further and regretting it So here it is in natural light, and slightly larger, What do you think? Tim

Tim,
I'd say follow your instincts and stick with what you've got! Nice highlights to the features and tone variations are apparent in the natural light but not overdone IMHO.

Good Afternoon, Getting ever closer to a conclusion on this, so my mind turned to a base for him. Now, in case no one has noticed, bases are not a strong point with me. So, looking for inspiration in the pose I thought along the lines of "King of the Castle". Rocky outcrop etc. So a visit to local garden center and a piece of stone for 50 pence. Question is - what do you think? More soon. Tim
