Looks like summer gets me painting figures, so having finished the Assassin, I decided to take on this little but highly detailed figure: As soon as I'll have my camera back to work, I'll show some pics of what I'm doing...

Well, it needs a magnifier to be seen, but, yes, it's one of my favourite minis. Tomorrow I'll try to shoot a picture with my phone, to show how little it is...

What amazing detail for a figure so small, you must use a 00000000 brush Paul

Thanks spud. The more I look at it, the less I like the result. So it's going to get dipped into Chanteclair (a household cleaning product that removes acrylic paint without damaging plastic and metal) and I'll start from the beginning. In the meantime I will have my sight checked, as I'm getting older

As I said, during this weekend I stripped all the paint off. In the pictures I saw some imperfections and some minor flash, so I cleaned it the best I could without marring the details and primed it again. This time I chose a white primer to be able to see the details. The black one made it almost impossible, at least for me. To help me relax while the paint dries and to prevent me from painting more layers on fresh paint (that's one of the causes of my failure in the first try), I decided to go on with three figures at the same time. The second one will be a 28mm barbarian from Reaper Miniatures, this one: This is meant to be an exercise in skin painting The third one is a Masterbox 1/35 russian infantryman with a Hornet head that will be used along with the T-34. The two 28mm had a white primer layer yesterday, so I hope to be able to start painting them this evening.

Nemo, here you can see if they depicted you correctly: I'm afraid the lights ate all the contrasts of the original. I hope to be able to make better photos with natural light tomorrow.

I found a lot of imperfections I didn't clean on the barbarian, so I scrapped it again. In the meantime, I painted some of the pirate: Hope you like it

A very little progress: I added a hint of blush on nose and cheeks, refined the hat adding scratches and a subtle wash with calligraphic ink, painted the boots (but I'm not yet satisfied by them). Hope you like it.
