This will be my official entry for the upcoming IPMS Philippines Nats. will be entering straight out of the box entry. Since the corvette will be up to a long ride, I've open a new car kit which will be also my guide for the car assembly. its easy to assemble almost shake and bake with the exemption dread sink marks on the seat head rest and very minimum mold seems. Main Color: Italian Red (Tamiya TS-8)

Painted the engine with Gunze Silver #8 the exhaust Manifold as per instruction the pipe would be burnt Metal (H76) with the Muffler and Tip Silver. Close up look Comments and Opinion are highly appreciated should I change the exhaust pipe all the way to the chamber to a flat aluminium and repaint the exhaust tip with Alclad Chrome? or Stick to the instruction and repaint only the tip with Alclad Chrome? Thanks ER

Hello ER!! Nice choice here and looking forward to following along!! I think if you are looking for the clean finish then what you have is fine or even the flat aluminum. I would say that if they used galvanized steel or even stainless to construct the pipes, they would have this flat aluminum coloring. If you wanted to sway to Alclad, I think if you wanted to go the Alclad route, then Steel with some Hot Violet and Burnt Metal or Sepia on the bends and joints would be nice. You can simulate the joints with tape leaving a tiny space between the pieces of tape and spray the violet, re-mask leaving a slightly larger space and lightly coat some sepia . Check out Chris.S's last bike build too....he went with, I think, an aluminum and then added some other colors all in acrylic and it looked the Biz!!! Shinny tips would be a nice touch too. Either paint or get a section of aluminum rod the will slide over the plastic exhaust and before you chop it up to fit, throw it into a dremel or drill and polish it with a sanding stick...looks pretty sweet when your done!! Good luck and keep us posted!!!

Thanks Buddy for the tip, will repainting the exhaust pipes with flat aluminium, since the burnt metal looks a bit to dark, and will be painting the tip with Alclad Chrome, does the Tamiya X-1 works as base coat or should I use gloss enamel for it?
Thanks ER

Here's where I am at now Body repaired and primer the problem there's quite a visible mold line on both bumper and a very noticeable sink marks on the rear. Chassis almost done the wheels were soak with bleach and base painted with gloss black and spray painted with gunze steel, masking to follow the tub is almost there except for the dashboard. Mark if you had any suggestion just let me know Cheers!!! ER
