Hoping someone can can help me here. Looking for info, profiles etc., on early Panther G's color schemes for vehicles that had the vertical zimmerit. I just bought some laser cut paper zim in 1/48 scale that look absolutely incredible. As an alternative... would it be appropriate to have this vehicle in a white wash winter scheme? If there aren't any profiles available i have no problem cobbling up some numbers for the turret

Why worry, each of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back.

Hey Marc, the color scheme is the same as all late war german vehicles. Any combo of Dark Yellow, Red Brown, Olive Green. HTH!

Rob as soon as I get the kit I will start posting updates.
Thanks Pete. Does an early G fall into the date range that they all had zim or is it just some/certain vehicles?

I'll have a look in the Panzer Colours books for you, I've also a pair of books about Panzers in Russia.. Could be a white washed one in there? I'll PM you if I find anything

I had a quick look in Sqn Sig SS Armour and they have a colour plate of a Panther g of LSSAH may 44 France. it looks to have the square tile zimm and is done in a funky 3 tone 'cheetah patern' cam job. looking at the Panther pics in here it appears that no 2 tanks have the same scheme, there is a wide variation in both style and pattern. its on page 41.

Thanks for looking into that brembo. That was kind of the feeling I was getting, about no 2 alike, so I think i and just going to come up with a "typical" camo pattern and through a number on it. Who knows... may have existed. After all, they didn't snap a pic of every single tank.

Wing_nut,
I might have an electronic book that I can send you some pics out of. Let me check things out when I get home and I'll see if I can find you some stuff to send tonight.
