Great progress MrT, the base and lamp look very cool indeed. I'd not thought of using pre-shading on figures but I will in future as she's looking very nice |

LOL. I need to get a new bottle of engine oil from him, the cap won't come off because i let the oil dry on it and the threading of the bottle....doh.

LOL...where is the irony in that...the "engine oil" dried so you can't get it off??!!! Drill a whole in and pour it into something else! I picked up the Red Oxide and the Rust set at the show...been itching to play with these...big time!! |

The rust set is great T. I think you'll like them. I most of those colors as filters for rust effects. Just be sure to mix the paints good or they will dry satin on you. AB with them is no biggie and they dry fast.
yeah oils right....LOL. Will dig out the channel socks first and see if I can get the cap off.

Oh thank you BJ for the attempt to keep me on track Actually I have kept her close by....about arms length from the dinning room table to be precise. I nicked the paint the other day and being that the figure is metal things went bad in a hurry. Fear not!!! On Friday last, I stripped the paint and started over. Pre-shading:  Attacked this time with some K4 Flesh mix that I had and have thought about using. If the sequence seems out of order...it is. When dotting some test .....dots, and the darker color was 'C', lightest was 'A' and the medium was 'B'. Just some labeling issues but nothing to worry about!!    And with a drop of white to the last mix some light cover....   It seems that a lot of the shadowing I added in the beginning is all but gone....it looks a bit different here and I will just add it back in on the end game!!! I will add a light wash and then move onto the eyes. So as long as I am not distracted by too many 24 hours FB builds, this should move along rather well Thanks for stopping by!!! |
