Scale Model Challenge 2012

Hi everyone

Today at Veldhoven near Eindhoven there was the modelling show 'Scale Model Challenge 2012'. I went together with my dad and brother in law and had a great day. In fact it was my first international show and it has proven I'm not up to compete with the big boys it seems . There were a lot of different bronze, silver and gold winners in each class

I entered comp with 6 vehicles, 5 of them in class 24, military vehicles 1:35 Advanced. I though not to enter in the beginners class since I didn't think I'm still beginner...well it has proven me wrong I guess :
I got zip for the Elefant, Tiger I, Merkava IV, NachtPanther, La Gleize KT and Panther F ;D

On the other hand, I DID get my occasional Duvel so was quite happy with that...seemed that Adam Wilder enjoyed some Duvel as well

Anywhoo, comp was fierce and some great models, big names as well. Here's a small selection

I even thought that T was here at a certain moment ;D

Awsome looking show Wourtes. dont feel dejected in not faring against that lot as they are the topdogs by the look of it. I too noticed a lot from Euro in that lot. Like jackwagon said if you come away inspired then job done.

If the Heinkel did win best of show then it got its just deserved.I thought it was the best of show in my eyes at Euro,superb modelling.

Thanks for sharing these Wouts!! Looked like it was a superb show!! Some really great albeit interesting one to boot!!!

Think "they" are a bit nuts not to gong a number of your pieces from what I am seeing though!! But, then again, I am not a judge and you can't always win! They are seriously all Gold here brotha'!!

That is funny as I scrolled through the pics and saw the Pz IV...thought for a second...LOL!!!! Not bad!! missed a couple things...LOL...just bias I am!! ;D) LOL!!!

Sorry to hear no gong for your models Wout's. Does look like some tough comp there. Some great looking dios for sure, especially the He 111. I just caught a show report on ML.

Have to plan to go to that show one of these days......yeah right......lotto...lol

Hi fellas, glad you liked the photos, sure is a worthwile event to visit! And thanks for the heads up, means more to me that my fellow SMC dudes like my stuff than lack of gongs
