Thanks for getting the pics up T, I forgot about taking a camera....doh.
Was a great time just looking at some nice models and especially meeting up with friend and talking models.
I did get to talk to the very talented modeler who built the 8 wheeler, KV II and the Tiger in the barn. Very nice fella but sorry to say I forgot his name. Will be great to have him here on MSC. The barn roof btw is made up of over 2500 indi balsa wood shingles !! A couple of months work he said , but well worth it I think.

Nice recap, Todd! Good to see you and "the Boss" at the show...although I totally missed Steve Reid. I must have been bargaining with one of the vendors. Glad to see a bunch of my builds made it into the pics!

Like I said...good times!! Hanging with friends,, there is nothing better!!! As for the 1:1 cut out of Rob....Kinko's Copies....$29.95 + Spipping Nice looking builds there Dupes!!! Glad you made it down to the show!! As for not hooking up with Steve...yeah the "bargaining" might have had something to do with it. I think Rob and I timed you at 3 min. 12 seconds till the 1st 5 kits were bought!! Man on a mission!! Next show....BayCon in November!!! Think it's the last one for the year up here!! Hope everyone can make it over to this one too!!!

Some very diverse shows they are sometimes!! Not a huge figure contingency but the wigs made up for it! The Wengy-thengs were certainly my favorites this time I think!! Harriers were great among a list of others incliding the FA-18!!! "Willow Eye Care"...irony at it's best!!! Nice spot!!

For those that that live abroad, The viking with the credit cards is from a credit card commercial on TV.

Great pictures! Thank you so much for posting them. Recognized several builds especially Dupes' builds of course. Learned that I will be in Portland, Maine for a national conference in 2014... it usually happens in late Sept or early Oct so I am really hoping that it is happening on same week as one of those local model shows so I can stop by.

Portland? That's only a couple of hours away. I'll pencil in some time in October 2014!
Re: the retail frenzy - there wasn't a whole lot at the show to get frenzied about...the attending vendors were less than their usual stellar selves. I think it's due partiall to the fact that in the past few years, there were individuals selling their own stashes - didn't seem to have much/any of that this time around. I ended up buying only 6 kits (4 of which you guys saw in the first 3 minutes!), a few sets of etch...and that was about it. Didn't even find any good decals I could use.
Either way, it was a worthwhile trip, and I'll see you guys again at Baycon!
