Yeovilton Autumn show

Went to this show today with my mates Ian White and Dutchy holland. If you have never been it is well worth a visit. Three massive halls full of Real naval aircraft and filled with tradestands and modell exhibits underneath them. We set up under concorde and put on a healthy display of models. I was blown away at the response i recieved from my models.I was asked all sorts of questions as to how i achieved the results on my armour and diorama,s. I was also asked to Romsey modelers club to talk about my techniques and also asked to visit and give advice on paint finishing for another modeler that looked as if i could advise nothing from what i saw of his models on his phone. Ive been to a lot of shows but i felt like a celeb at this one today with the amount of praise i was getting,it was great. I purchased the new Canfora book On display vol 2 on the stug 111.Also purchased two Dragon kits,one of the stug three with PE and metal barrell £15. And a250 halftrack with PE £15. Also got the new AK modulation set for three colour German camo late style. Happy days. Cant show pics as my camera died last night,it was sad as this Lumix had taken some great pics over the past few years.

LOL...very interesting Andy! Sorry there were no pics, but better luck next time or maybe someone has some and they can get posted after the fact!! I can see how you pieces would certainly warrant the response you received!!! They are beautiful works of art and show realism at it's best! Nice haul too!! Looking forward to seeing you have at these new additions!!!

what an awesome venue to have a trade and model display!

we are having a nationals show in our region next year....and they are currently lookin for venues....it think this is the way to go.
