I actually saw one on a back issue of FSM, a dreadnought class with mesh on the side seems to spark my interest on it

You might have just talked yourself into a great build there ER!!! The Mesh is a for of Schützen used on tanks. If we are talking about the same item, these are nets deployed to stop torpedoes. Not sure how well they worked but the concept is there: For discussion purposes only For discussion purposes only These are those funny poles that you see on the British Dreadnoughts of the time. For discussion purposes only Hope some of this helps a bit!! Pretty cool look when they are deployed!! Here is the link to where the first couple came from...sounds like you may want to save this: www.cityofart.net/bship/albion.htm

OK....getting close to the end here!! I had a chance to add the remaining parts and worked the rigging. All that stands between this and a completed job is some weathering and a base to put her on. If you get a chance and wish to have a peek at the progress over on SMA click the link or the picture. www.scalemodeladdict.com/index.php/topic,7415.msg125288/topicseen.html#new Thank you for following along!!!
