Inscale.org and our sponsors, Badger Co., Adalbertus Miniatures Shop, Scale Aircraft Conversions, Master – Reality in Miniature and Pen & Sword Books are proud to invite you to participate at our online competition!
COLD WAR AIRCRAFT is an online scale model competition with subjects being submitted using digital photos on the Inscale.org forum section at the website.
How To Register for Competition:
In order to take part in this competition you will need to become a member of Inscale.org.
This is only so that you are able to post your builds and finished kits.
Please Register Here : www.inscale.org
Competition starts 01/November/2012 and it will end on 31/March/2013. This means you have five full months to build and enter.
All submissions should be started November 1st, 2012. or later and entered by March 30, 2013.
Please no entries of past builds.
MAIN RULES:
COMPETITION THEME:
“COLD WAR AIRCRAFT ”
The theme of the competition is exclusively based on Cold War era aircraft: Any unpainted models or any airplane that do not belong to “Cold War” era (1946-1989) will be excluded from the competition.
****No Armor, Naval, Sci-FI,….kits****
SCALE/ENGINE:
Most common scales, stand alone kit, vignette or diorama.
Can have any engine (prop or jet).
AUTHOR:
Kit submission must be by builder.
PERIOD:
Cold War era 1946-1989.
THEATER OF WAR:
From any “COLD WAR” side (NATO or Warsaw Pact).
TYPE:
Airplane/Helicopter
NUMBER OF THE SUBMITTED KITS:
No limit, more kits – more chance to win BUT a build progress and final photos of finished kit must be posted for it to be considered for a prize.
BUILD PROGRESS LOG on INSCALE:
Each kit must have the build log posted on the Inscale.org Forum Contest section
Images submission for the build logs and finished kit need be at least 800x600pix
WHO CAN ENTER?
Anyone can participate, of any age and from any country (including reviewers from Inscale.org /excluding: Scott, Ron and Edi)
PRIZES:
There are three prizes to be given away for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed models judged by Ron, Edi and Scott.
1st prize: Badger air-brush (sponsored by Badger Air-Brush Co.).
2nd prize: 50euros voucher prize for shopping in Adalbertus Shop (sponsored by Adalbertus Miniatures Shop).
3rd prize: Scale Aircraft Conversions white metal parts (sponsored by Scale Aircraft Conversions).
We have also added an additional prize from Badger Air-brush Co. for the kit voted best overall by the members at the forum.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS that we will be looking for:
Models that make use of add-ons, detail sets or scratch built parts.
Models that are modified to correct manufacturer errors or to obtain a different version. (Note this in your build process)
Models that are placed on a simple base or a diorama.
Models that are equipped with figure or a complete crew.
Historical documentation, modelling notes, step-by-step photos and work in progress descriptions submitted will also be looked at;
As the only media accepted are digital photos extra rating points are given to the quality of photography to give emphasis to the subject. (*retouched digitally photo entries will be discarded);
Models that will not be judged: Armor, Ships, Subs, Sci-Fi…
HOW TO SUBMIT:
In order to take part in this competition you will need to become a member of Inscale.org.
This is only so that you are able to post your builds and finished kits.
Post your entry in the “COLD WAR” Contest section ONLY.
For topic name use the title of your art-work or name of the airplane.
Submitted photos of your entry can be in any common photo format and with a minimum resolution of 800×600 pixels. Use any of image hosting services on the Net to post images on Inscale.org. Remember to reserve High-Resolution photos for a possible publishing.
Include a some kind of description of your work. More detail the better.
