Hi fellas.................due to the difficulty i have obtaining the Tamiya Extra Thin Cement does any one have an alternative they know of................i can get the TETC but only from abroad...........mainly Hong Kong or Australia (Oz want £12 delivery charge , for a 40ml bottle.........YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!) Thanks for ya input chaps

Boots....just as thin fella!..Just not quite sure,if it's as strong as TETC,but it does stick stuff!!!

Hiya Boots, I use Plasticweld for my builds now, it's dichloromethane not MEk but they both do similar things. I use an old, small paint brush to apply it. It needs to be natural hair as the strong solvent will melt most synthetic fibers. Technique is to hold parts together in position and then touch the liquid to the join, capillary action will pull the solvent into the gap... Hey presto! Joined! Give it a go.. I'm a true convert

Nice one CB thats good to know for future reference mucka ;D Steve thank you too fella..............i always use a very thin piece of wire for gluing but i do have a coupla spare old brushes...................in fact ALL my brushes are shite now so i got plenty ((LOL))

Hey Boots!! With Dicky on this...MEK. Hardware stores or Home Centers (yeah, not sure if you have any of the where you are). For a couple of few quid here I can get a pint or so. Refill the TETC bottles and it lasts for ever! They have what they call "a substitute to M.E.K."......just as good!

here's also an alternative with the Tamiya extra thin, PU Reducer that can be bought in car paint shop... its not strong as the extra thin but it act like the same liquid of the Tamiya
