Moebius is a fairly new company. So far the only kits they have offered has been an International Lonestar semi, and then the Hudson Hornet. I built this for review for Scale Auto magazine here in the States. It went together really well. A very enjoyable build. The main exterior paint is from Scale Finishes, and is Hudson "Southern Blue" Most of the other colors are Tamiya, with some House of Kolor here and there. With every thing painted it went together like a snap. There is lots of bare metal foil work to do, but it looks great once it's all done. I'd build another in a heartbeat! The interior is shot with two shades of Tamiya acrylic. The chassis is Scale Finishes semi-gloss black, and the floor pan is a mix of Tamiya black and grays. Like I said, the body was primed and shot with Scale Finishes new Southern Blue. I then cleared it with PPG 2 part clear, and polished it out. The dash and firewall were also done the same. I used a brand new sheet of BMF, and ended up using almost 3/4s of it! And here's the finished product. I gotta say, for a new company, Moebius did a fantastic job on this kit. I plan to once the race car version comes out. The instructions can be a bit quirky at times, and I wasn't paying attention a few other times and got myself in trouble. But if you take your time, this kit is a breeze. And it looks great when all together. Thanks for looking! Clay

stunning work Clay - not often you see auto subjects painted so well. Really like the finish perfect and blemish free ! But the chrome work - now that looks more than difficult !
cheers Mark

Thank you very much guys!
Now for the embarrassing part of this story.....I was supposed to have it done for a certain deadline for the magazine. I was on my way to Atlanta for the NNL there and didn't get it done in time before I left. So I took it with me, and all my supplies I'd need, and spent two nights in the motel room finishing it up before the show on Saturday! LOL It all worked out, and I think it will also make the cover corner of the next Scale Auto due out any day now.
Next time I foil a car, I'll snap some pics. No real magic in it, just patience and a sharp blade. Luckily this car really was molded really crisp to allow the foil to go on so well.
