Had a hankering for some jets lately for some reason and went on a buying spree. The first arrived today - eBay score for $20. Planning to do this one up in the arctic aggressor scheme...

Evening chaps.. slow boat from Japan arrived Well in fairness it took Hobbylink 28 hours to send it to the UK from Japan then HMRC and Parcel Force 9 days to move it 62 miles from Conventry airport Still here's my haul ;D Pitroad 1/144 Vulcan, this is a beautiful kit ! Pitroad 1/144 TSR2 ... and another Pitroad 1/144 Typhoon FGR4 .. showing the Revell F2 kit a clean pair of heels ;D and finally, from my LHS, a Revell 1/48 Wessex. This one is totally T's and Venom1's fault.. an airfield wreck is on the way ;D

My wife and I have a long-standing tradition for Christmas gift-giving...we each 'give' the other a budget to spend against and therefore there's never any disappointment over what you 'get'! For this year I took advantage of a sale on Dragon USA to pick up this 'little' gem... Should arrive just in time for the T34 build to wrap up and provide me with something to work on in December and over the Christmas week break.

Guys- Great additions everybody! Bill- Always wanted to get that kit!!! I am torn between three manufacturers but right now I am leaning toward to Amusing Hobby since it offers more PE if I am correct? Looking forward to this build I am!!! Guys again- I love my wife... she agreed to let me stop by my fav hobby shop in Wanamaker 20 minutes from where her father lives as we had second Thanksgiving feast since her parents are divorced. Got this kit for $30 plus another bottle of AK Rust Streaks for $6 since I gave up waiting on Rob to send me one for free after that spill disaster. ;D Opened as soon as I got home... it looks like a great kit! Maybe I can finally use the Cavalier Zimm set I brought at clearance a while ago. Not just that... my wife wanted us to shop at our favorite place... Stewart Flea Market. They come here to state fairground few times a year. I cooperated and I scored some good stuff... WWII US web belt... $20 WWI & WWII insignia badges... $15 WWII German uniform insignia... $10 Clasps and brush...$4 I really need your help... googled but no luck. I don't have books about unit insignia and badges stuff... planning to get those. Maybe you can tell me if you know the answer. I believe left and center are from WWI. I think First Infantry in the center. Left maybe Second or something? Obviously not 82nd Airborne? The left has to be from WWII the seller wasn't sure. Looked pretty old too. Got this from another seller... he said an old lady just gave him German stuff when her husband passed away recently. Seller said it was sewn on a shirt then it was cut off. Back... Know anything about this? Thanks in advance! Thinking about going back there to buy one more item from same seller... he offered $75 for a badge but I declined because I wasn't sure. After getting home I did some research and learned that the badge is worth a lot more than the seller offered.

Andy, the USAAF badge you've shown,is 2nd AF,and the German badge looks like a badge the Hitler Jugend used to wear on they're shirts.(I'm willing to stand corrected on that!).The '1' badge, does indeed look like it should be the 'Big Red',but again not too sure on that! Lui.....I've been fortunate enough to see the Vulcan flying a few times, over the last few years! ;D....More than willing to post piccies of it airborne,if you want some!!!
