Good to know...not that I really want to kill my eyes more than I have to with 1/72 scale figures added to the mix!! Pheeew! Nuff issues with the 1/35 some times...LOL!!!! So then, buy some Italeri Figs, cannibalize and pic up some Z's for the Frankenstein part?...sweet!!

Deano are you going all Middle Eastern on us? Welcome to the darkside. Some great hauls, I have build the T34/122mm but I went the resin way for the turret. I'd be interested to see what the plastic kits like. If you need am barrel send me a Pm. Jaymes

My shift from 1/32 jets to 1/48 continues. Today I sold my big Academy F/A-18D, which is basically impossible to find Desert Storm markings for. Everything is OEF and OIF. Today I also received an eBay score - Hasegawa's 1/48 F/A-18D. I was anticipating a similar Desert Storm frustration, until I saw the copyright date. Sure enough, the decals include markings for the Green Knights in what can really only be ODS markings. Woohoo!

January's proving to be a big 'stash growth' month so far fellas, nice scores!
Doogs, I can understand why you would want to shift to 1/48 in jets, 1/32 builds I'm sure take up a lot of space when finished!

January's proving to be a big 'stash growth' month so far fellas, nice scores! Doogs, I can understand why you would want to shift to 1/48 in jets, 1/32 builds I'm sure take up a lot of space when finished! Space was part of it - a 1/32 F-15 is about as big as a 1/32 B-25! A 1/48 F-15 is way more manageable, but still occupies roughly a similar footprint to a 1/32 P-47. Another - arguably bigger - part is that 1/48 is just where the action is. With a few exceptions, in 1/32 you're quickly shunted into ancient molds or Trumpeter kits. In 1/48, it definitely gets a bit Hasegawa-heavy, but look at Great Wall's MiG-29s and their new F-15 and Kitty Hawk's Jaguar and MiG-25. Academy's new Phantoms. Hobby Boss putting out a new Intruder and F-84F Thunderstreak. Eduard slowly marching toward making every MiG-21 ever. There's a lot more selection and quality in 1/48. And don't even get me started on the aftermarket...

Ok gents, it's been brought to our attention that 2013 is over...so a new thread has been started for 2014. This one will be un-stickied and locked down to protect the innocent and allow the past to slip quietly away...until the next shipment boxes arrive on your doorstep that is!
