Good Day Folks!
I looking for you to share your techniques on making chrome parts, pitted and rusty. Does one have to completely strip the parts first?

Hi Steven, here's my share I completely remove the chrome parts on the Hasegawa Lancia Delta Magwheels with clorox then repainted it with Alclad Chrome but with the clear, since I got a disaster with the muffler tip.

I'm with Dicky Steven, the chrome used on the kits is far too think to look anything other than toyish. Strip it, and reapply. As you don't seem to be going for a showroom finish you may not need to invest in Alclad paints. Instead you could prime the parts in semi- gloss black , then add the chrome with a bright silver artists pen from someone like Faber-Castell. Once it's completely dry, buff it up with a fine microcloth. You can pick the pens up for about £8 from most craft shops. I used one on my 1/12 bike forks and mirrors . Have a look in my gallery for the result.
