Ostfront.ru has wrapped up there "art of destruction" contest last week and I had the pleasure and honor to be a judge to pick the winner. There were some beautiful models entered and it didn't make it easy to pick a winner, let alone the three best. Here is a link to the site and contest models. I will post pics here when I get a chance, things are getting slower until I get the hang of this new PC. I think when you see them you will know what I mean. i have been following the builds from the beginning and got to what these masterpieces come to life. ost-front.ru/en/2011/11/30/contest2/ Please check them out when you get a chance. Rob

yeah it wasn't easy, especially watching these come together then I spent over an hour looking at the final pics and trying to pick the top three. The first two were tie, but I had to go with the Surian because of the painting and weathering techniques were amazing.

Syrian? Its a Andrei aka Saleh work, hes our member. I sad many times, on Russian forums you can find some realy serious modelars, world class. Rob your job is not easy, realy, but you have reputation in Russia LOL Ian have right, Panther is my personal favorite, too.

I agree Z, some very talented modelers in Russia. It was very hard to find a "best" model. I really liked the KT and the Syrian PZ IV. Both showed fantastic effects not just with the rust, but with creating interesting and very realistic paint effects. They both showed the modelers skill in working with different techniques, and the results showed. Like I said, it was VERY hard to judge these models. Each had something that set them apart but it boiled down to the top three. I had to look at the smallest details, rust and paint effect.

Hiya Martyn, good to see you made it over bro. Yeah, loved every bit of it...except the judging. The KT was fantastic, but the PzIV had some things over it.
