Hey guys,
As I am now getting comfortable with the weathering process I've been experimenting with chipping effects. I have done a little bit to my 88 and just recently came accross AK's Chipping Color. Have any of you guys used this product? Would this be a good product to use on modern vehicles with a base coat of AK 122 U.S. Modern Desert Tan?
Thanks,
Adam

Hey Adam,
I can't really comment on the use on modern vehicles, but if you look up my RSO build. There is a picture in there where I used the chipping color on a dark yellow interior. You can get a feel of what it looks like on that color.

Lft u a reply over on Sma, but it's 99.9% the same color as vallejo camo brown I supposed so, maybe it's a little different shade of dark brown, but, as far as I know, AK acrylics are produced by Vallejo.

Hi Adam
The AK chipping is slightly darker and thinner than the Valejo camo brown. Also, only the first couple of CM sets were produced by Vallejo. Since then they are NOT made by Vallejo. So this means this acrylics from the past year or so including the rust set and the chipping color are not Vallejo, similar yes but not Vallejo. If the color is too dark you can lighten it, which I do on occasion.
