Hey Wout, Murphy brought it back, I'm one lucky Guy ! The pic above doesn't show the weathering well but I just liked to show the progress. I'm glad you like it !

ER, Merry Xmas to you too (and all of you). legend, if it looks real it's good enough for me. Thanks ! Rob, I wonder how this kit would look if it came from your work bench, after passing true your hands. A little eye catcher for sure ! Now I got to this stage of the painting process I have to say that certain details are not 100% sharp and that makes painting and weathering a bit more difficult, but I'll take the time I need to give it my best shot. T, the Steib was set aside for now, now it's the Zündapp's turn to be finished. Thanks for your encouraging words. This is not the best pic but it gives an impression of the stage I'm in now. Tomorrow I think I can do some more painting and weathering. Best regards, AG.

Hi there Boots, the paint job goes well until now, here and there it was (and still is) pretty fiddly.
The only small issue I experienced is that AK's Worn effects is very suitable for fine scratches, chippings etc. but not for heavy chippings. Do you share the same experience ? Do I have to add more layers of Worn effects ?
Anyway, I think that the Zündapp will be a good addition to the barn diorama, holding the finished parts next to the Admiral they seem to match very well. The Admiral looks gigantic and the Zündy looks very tiny.
Tomorrow I will finish and glue on the exhausts.
Best regards ! AG

Thanks Luigi, here's some more progress then, I've added the rusty exhausts, more dust and rust to come however... I am combining AK washes with mineral spirits and oils as Raw umber, Burnt umber...but it's darn difficult to shoot a decent pic in rainy dark depressed Belgium !!! Best regards ! ps the sun, is it still there ? And how does it look like ? I can't remember it !

Dig the rust on the muffler! You got rain while I got snow... lucky you! LOL Sun hasn't been sighted for like four days now...

Hey Andy, I'm glad with the look of the mufflers, they add some color and interest to the bike. I'm in the middle of the weathering stage and there still is a lot to do.
Snow ? Lucky you, we wish we had a bit of snow, just for the Christmas feeling the past days...it didn't feel like Christmas at all, and of course...almost every family member has caught a flu, me included.

We've got plenty of sun, luckily. Maybe it's a little too windy, but with 14° I can't surely be unhappy The last picture is stunning. I think that T's comment is what we all feel. Without that toothpick it would be dfficult to tell the scale...

T, it's a pencil mate ! No, tomorrow I go for the last part, the steer and front fork, tire...
Luigi, that's good news, but it's a d*mn fiddly thing too so yes I'm glad you put iyt this way.!!!
That's it Dicky it must have been the end of the sun !!!
Best regards ! AG.
One remark however, I've added very subtle dust layers and they can easily be blown away only by moving an arm ! Fixer darkens the effect so that's not an option for a change. I'm thinking of spraying a very fine mist of Buff, super diluted with Laquer thinner. What do you guys think ?

>:(No progress yet guys, the flu got me and pins me down since a whole week. I wanted to add this one to my 2012 builds but it will be my first of 2013 I'm afraid.
Dicky, I sprayed on thinned Buff and it worked perfect but that's all I did.
Best regards ! AG.
