I've got some Tamiya Liquid Surface Primer in the little square bottle. I'd like to use it and get away from the rattle can primer and was wondering what to thin it with. Any ideas guys?
Also, to keep from starting another thread, how well does the Life Color paints stand up to a lot of masking like on a ship model? I'll be putting a primer coat on before hand.

I use Tamiya's lacquer thinner. I've also used Klean Strip Lacquer thinner like you buy at the hardware store. Both seemed to work well.
I typically mix it in a 50/50

I typically mix it in a 50/50 Hey John, I know its a late responce, but i use the exact thinners for my Tamiya Primer and Paint as CD35. I have found myself useing more often the Klean Strip thinner....seems to really bite and adhere to the surface better than any thing ive used. Gary Edit: BTW i have some life color paints but i would choose Tamiya over life color in the AB everytime, and hand brushing id choose life color WAY over Tamiya.
