Wow. I got a lot done on this beast today! Rattlecan silver, masking, white base for the yellow (and cowl), spray the yellow, more masking, spray the green, unmask everything, future coat all around. Engine and nose are dry fit just to make her look good. Fantasy Football draft day tomorrow - might get to start in on the decals tomorrow night, otherwise Monday. More to come!

Imagine that. I missed a build. Wanna see what you do with that. Hah...you posted while I was typing. Update pic up! And don't feel tooooo bad about missing the build - look at the date on the original post.

Wow. So good he posted it twice. Does look good though. That's one striking scheme for sure.

That's one striking scheme for sure. Yeah, the hi-vis schemes are great when you don't think there's going to be anyone shooting at you!

I did look at the date. I was supposedly active then. Love those yellow wing birds.

Nice choice of scheme...got to love it when all the masking does its job. Good luck with the fantasy draft!

Bill - the draft went well! One above average team and one championship-caliber team. Good odds to at least make my entry fees back.

As expected I didn't get much done on draft day...quite a bit yesterday, though! Decals are all layed down. Using the kit markings, and the vast majority of them performed very well - even sucked down with just some Micro Set. Taking a few coats of Sol to get the stripes (especially the fuselage ones) to sit properly. Should be able to give them a coat of future tonight in prep for washes. Stay tuned!

Yeah, it's pretty wacky. But hey, easily visible is great when you're lost somewhere...not so much when people start shooting in your direction!

Nice to see this one back out there again Dupes. Got one myself and it's had a couple of false starts too. Colors look great! Nice to see a change of pace from the normal wartime colorings.

Now that looks sweet with the markings on. Sounds like your draft-day went well, just don't let Andy know who you've got as your QB...

Thanks Rick! Thanks Bill! Went downstairs to plug away on this thing this morning for a while before work...got slightly distracted by another build. Heh. That one should be getting done about the same time as this one. Bill - are you insinuating that due to my geographic location I would have drafted that "Shady Brady" character? For shame! Whilst I live in New England I am not a fan of their (our?) team. (Rodgers and Stafford lead my two squads, if it matters).

Hey Dupes! Did you shelve this one again? Paint looks great! You're too close to stop now. Get some legs on this one and you're practically there. Git 'er done man!

Hey Dupes! Did you shelve this one again? Paint looks great! You're too close to stop now. Get some legs on this one and you're practically there. Git 'er done man! Turns out that I DID shelve it again...for about the seventh time. Talk about a rough road to completion on this one! Since I "resurrected it" three years ago, that means I started it no earlier than the first half of 2012...probably before. Call it 2011 some time. Dang! So in an effort to squeeze something in to the MoM last night, I went crazy marathon-washing this guy. Lots of panel lines and rivets to deal with. Didn't quite make it to round out 2015, but she's done in 2016. Finally! As of last night (this is the upstairs bench in front of the big tv with a Dr. Who marathon running): Did all of the clear parts and fiddly bits this afternoon. Finished pics uploading shortly.

Glad to see you finally got this one across the finish line Dupes! You'll have to name it Lazarus in the display case. Got to love the color contrasts in the scheme on this one. Very nice.

Dupes, glad you resurrected this cat again. She's a beauty! Glad you chose the training scheme. Great to see something new and different. As for mine, I pulled it out as well and got the wings on it but no exterior paint. It's shelved again due to the Heinkel. Looks like I'm following the same course you took.

Damn son! I am not one for making statements like that being a best ever and such, but if I did that would be in the running for your best aircraft. That's freakin' sierra hotel!

Thanks a ton guys! Sorry I missed all of these replies - ran out of internet bandwidth a couple of days before the reset. Blah. Damn son! I am not one for making statements like that being a best ever and such, but if I did that would be in the running for your best aircraft. That's freakin' sierra hotel! Well jeeze. I better not drop this thing on the way to the club meeting this week! ...and start building (or finishing!) more 1/32nd stuff.
