Hi All. I purchased this bust from Mitches Military Models at Euro 2012, it was sculpted by M Corry. I had to depict him as a member of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Royal Regiment (Berkshire & Wiltshire), The Farmers Boys, in which I served. To show him on one of our many tours in Ulster. It is an OOB build apart from replacing the hat badge on the beret with the Branywine Flash and our Cross Pattee cap badge, I also trimmed his hair to a more DERR standard and gave him a moustache. The L1A1 was modelled with the SUIT (I found these good for scanning my arcs and face spotting). I also had to scratchtbuild the front sling swivel and the sling using wire for buckles. The barrel was also drilled out, and the flash hider improved. I decided not to overdo the wear and tear on the M69 Flak vest, at the end of one tour mine was a terrible mess, egg banjo juice down the front along with brick dust ingrained on the rear of the jacket and bottom front, tears from climbing over walls and through hedges and blood from my own nose as a result of not ducking in time, ah happy days. Thanks for looking Dennis

Hi Dennis
Outstanding mate; you certainly nailed that one. The DPM is spot on, nicely faded. Egg banjo's...not had one of those for a while.
The addition of the pornstar 'tache is inspired ;D

Gents, thank you for your kind comments, I apologise for not posting this sooner but phone and internet were off as a result of the recent bad weather, when I did eventually return here was a brand new forum, brilliant. Judging from mentions of 'porn star' taches, a few of us have done our fair share of 'hard targeting.' Gary I agree with you ref the FN-FAL, I always preferred the L1A1 SLR and was sorry to trade mine in for an SA80. Smudge, Paul will you be coming to the Sword & Lance show in Darlington? If so we could met up with Mac. Thanks again for the kind comments, I willl post again soon. Sennis
