Thanks guys Yesterday I fooled around with the camo and added the nose plates. When I hung the skirts to paint them I had them over-lapped the wrong way and as you can see it left an unpainted edge. As luck would have it I need to paint the camo on the nose plates anyway and I can touch up those edges at the same time. ;D Thanks again for you compliments my friends Tony

Wouter I don't cull any kind of racing,NASCAR,GT,F1,Drag,Legend,Enduro, I think you've got the idea.
Dan I touched up the skirts and now the gloss coat where the decals go is drying. After the decals dry out i'll spray a satin coat and do the enamel filter coat etc etc.
Oh Happy Days are here again ;D Tony

AG i've never painted this type of camo before, brown on green, just a splotch of green here and a splotch of brown there. I've got a picture of this camo scheme, mine didn't come out as a carbon copy of it but it's close enough.
I haven't built enough models to know what to expect from a paint finish. The SU-76 was my first green and the Marder II D was my first grey.
Thank goodness for the internet AND Thanks for all the people willing to show their work.
Cheers Tony

Thank ya I was going to start the washes this morning but it was cold and snowing up a fog. The window is on the north side of the house and it's not a good idea to open it for ventilation under those conditions. Hope the weather is better within the next couple of days. Tony

Up-Date Time I only applied a weak raw umber oil wash to keep it from going to dark on me and this morning I did a raw umber pin wash. I'm going to let it dry for two or three days and see if it's going to need another going over with pin wash again. What do you think,is it dark enough even being under the lights? Thanks for your opinions Tony

Looks good Tony, that wash is really making the colors pop. I think its dark enough. Lets see what it looks like in a few days after it dries a bit. IMHO, It looks perfect.
