On a Dutch forum (Twenot) start this week a Gb with as subject ARV`S and that I could not resist my favorite subject in ours hobby I have made the choice to build a Autocar U-8144T tractor wrecker from Real model. There is little know about this vehicle the only thing is that they are used by Navy units. I have one question for now, anybody know what the color is for Navy units I know its some kind of blue

Hey Ron!! Sweet Kit!! Make sure you get some in/out of the box shots too!!! I have seen some awesome rusty crusties for this big girl!!!
As for color...I have seen plenty references to OD but in Naval service, and I am open for correction but, blue grey or even dove grey, sure. A little digging I am sure we can come up with a good Navy color.
Count me in for this one!!!

Thnx guy`s Today it was the first time for me to see how the parts are looking and I was not happy at that moment, what a poor casting from Real model Thu the building progress I will take some pictures from the high quality The instructions they are very clear where to place the parts ;D The parts for the truck minus the wheels and grill, De Garwood crane, looks almost the same as the one om the Ward la France from Accurate Armour And done some work on the cabin, removed the casting plugs and need now a little wet sanding.

That's a ton of resin parts, and lots of tiny ones too. Looking forward to seeing this come to life. There was a similar one posted on ML not long ago and painted in the Navy blue.

Definitely not something you see done every day, looks like a great project Ron! Can't help you much on Navy units color schemes but I imagine it would more likely be a shade of gray vs. blue.
