As i have had a few days in between projects i have started my halftrack which will end up on the Final push for Berlin dio i have decided on making the 251 a bit different so i went for a field modified Pakwagen after finding a pic on the net i made a start there wasnt much left of the Tamiya kit once i started cutting it about there will be quite a bit of scratching envolved in this so it could all go downhill from here but i will do my best im also using a Tamiya pak 40 kit with a alu barrel but for now some progress pics. Reference i will be using PIC IS FOR DISCUSSION PURPOSES ONLY Dan B

hey Dan, very cool project bud, and a nice start too. This was a prototype vehicle. There was another with a bigger gun. i believe it was New Connection that has/had a resin conversion for this. i did this one for a customer about ten years ago and it was a blast to do. looking forward to seeing this come to life. I love in between builds...too cool

As the weather is not the best at the moment i managed to get a days worth of work done in the mancave the halftrack has had the rear deck fixed ready to take the mounting for the Pak 40 then while this was drying i made a start on the gun the kit was a dream to put together better then some i have had in the past i did originally want to fit a alu barrel but the kit barrel was very detailed so i decided to stick with it i will have to use some filler to hide the join. For the mounting of the Pak i used the base which comes in the kit i cut off the axles then out of plasticard made up a box this is fixed to the rear deck. More soon....... Dan B

Yes Dicky i totally agree it is nerve racking thats why i used a cheap old tammy kit as it was my first real scratched project thanks to all the positive comments it really helps a lot.
