Allright fellers, this is the third time I've tried to post this and it's gettitng frustrating. I think it's photobucket that doesn't like my comp or sthg. Anyway, It's been forever since I posted. Three kids, a wife, and a life make me choose between bench time and computer time. It's obvious which wins. So, I bought this kit cheap and thought it would be a good intro into German armor. I've enjoyed the build and have only minor complaints. I would def buy more Bronco kits. I love the detail and the weld beads are awesome. Here's a start on the interior. I had fun and did some experimenting. I even tried Scratchmod's speedy rusting technique on the engine, chain, and muffler. I like to paint/prime as I go. I find that while it can make glueing a challenge at times, it makes it easier/cleaner to get paint in those hard to reach areas Here we are with the hull and running gear installed. masked and primed and here's the top bit with PE gun shield and scratch wire handles

And here it is with a DG basecoat and some DG stripes. I'm sticking with a two-tone scheme cuz I like it and want to The top is just sitting on there at the moment... It was after this point that I realized that the instructions for the kit failed me. The front hull piece shown in the instructions and the top piece do not fit together properly. So I had to improvise to save it. I ended up cutting the front of the top piece and "welding" it to the front with miliput Good enough. And here it is with treads and decals on. Ready for weathering. What a nightmare! now I know why all of you spend 30 bucks on AM tracks . Turned out ok in the end though. I'm liking the way this is looking... As always ACM! Cheers fellas. Happy modeling!!!!

Besides the lighting on the last few images this thing is very cool. The interior looks well used and worn in all the right places. Nice work on the paint and camo as well. Did I mention the clean build part....that too.

Thanks a bunch everybody! Appreciate the comments:) TONY: that's really cool! Get it out. What's that one called? Something I meant to bring up before but forgot: Befehlpanzer.... box says be_l_ehlpanzer with an "L" on the box but inside the instructions it says befehlpanzer with an f. So I became curious. It turns out Befehl is basically the equivalent of "command" in German, in the "command car" context. So what I assume is some poor Chinese linguist made a mistake and misread some western text or font. Belehl with an "L" doesn't mean anything in German . Please correct me if I'm wrong German counterparts;) cheers all and thanks again.

yep, not a word in German. It's a command vehicle. Enough reading, get to weathering...(((LOL)))

Looking good. The Germans had all kinds of fun with the captured H38/39 chassis and the Befehlspanzer was just one variant among several that they came up with. Yours is looking good so far. As you've discovered, the Bronco kit tracks in this family can be quite the challenge!

Nice work mate. I've been interested in those Somua based German vehicles. Looks like a fine build indeed. Nice work so far mate. Keep it up!

Thanks all:
Bodge: sweet work man. Looks wonderfully worn. I like the fig too, having some lunch:) what kit is that? The top bit is wider than my bronco kit.
Tony: that's really cool:) it looks a little top heavy, but a way different base/setup than the Marder II. Cool stuff!

Thanks Bodge Quick update. I finished the chipping yesterday, added a clear coat, then tonight I added some streaking with oils. This one's nearly a wrap. Gotta add the muffler, chain, and finish the tools. Then just weathering:some dust, maybe a little heavier dirt down low, and some mettalic pigs. Been a fun build. Gonna def do some more WWII kit

OK, last one fellas. Here it is complete! I'll post some more in the gallery later on. I'm thinking a small vignette base for this and the figures I'm working on. Let me know what you think. Cheers.
